They Are All Around Us!

stupidity
You can be assured that these people are around, above, below, across and right next to us everywhere and all the time! Beware, I hear they are contagious!

Can you imagine, they walk among us!

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old
fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying:
"Free to good home You want it, you take it." For three days the
fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He
eventually decided that people were too un-trusting of this deal. It
looked too good to be true, so he changed the sign to read: "Fridge
for sale $50." The next day someone stole it.

Caution... They Walk Among Us!

One day I was walking down the beach with some friends when someone shouted.
"Look at that dead bird!" Someone looked up at the sky and said...where???"

They Walk among us!!

While looking at a house, my brother asked the real estate agent which
direction was north because, he explained, he didn't want the sun
waking him up every morning. She asked, "Does the su n rise in the
north?" When my brother explained that the sun rises in the east, and
has for sometime, she shook her head and said, "Oh, I don't keep up
with that stuff."

They Walk Among Us!!

I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center. One day I
got a call from an individual who asked what hours the call center was
open. I told him, "The number you dialed is open 24 hours a day, 7
days a week." He responded, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?" Wanting
to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific"

They Walk Among Us!!!

My colleague and I were eating our lunch in our cafeteria, when we
overheard one of the administrative assistants talking about the
sunburn she got on her weekend drive to the shore She drove down in a
convertible, but "didn't think she'd get sunburned because the car was
moving".

They walk among us!

My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car it's designed to cut
through a seat belt if she gets trapped. She keeps it in the trunk...

They Walk Among Us!!!!!!!

I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area. So I went to
the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never
showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry because she was a
trained professional and I was in good hands. "Now," she asked me,
"Has your plane arrived yet?"...

They Walk Among Us!!!!!!!!

While working at a pizza parlor I observed a man ordering a small
pizza to go. He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him if he
would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6. He thought about it for some
time before responding. "Just cut it into 4 pieces; I don't think I'm
hungry enough to eat 6 pieces.

Yep, They Walk Among Us .....and some are among us too .......

His Majesty Bashar Al Asad, was “elected” president of Syria again, after a 97% poll favoring him. Unlike other Arab dictators, His Majesty was keen on granting his people democratic elections by providing a ballot for people to check ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Oh, and a minor side detail, is that there were no other candidates! Grazie!

BBC Hails Good News!

download

While reading BBC News online, I came across the headline, “Scientists find bird flu antibody” which absolutely shocked me! Bird flu killed approximately 180 thousand people in less than 4 years hopefully, and now will be a thing of the past. Scientists are certain yet, but are very optimistic towards this finding. Professor Antonio Lanzavecchia, of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine-Switzerland, stated “the antibodies have already proven effective in the lab and in mice and he is confident that they could be used in humans.” For all of you chicken lovers out there, the BBC just gave you the green light … so pig out!

Britney Spears Letter

download

T
his is a Letter From Britney to you people…

Dear Fans,
I just wanted to reach out to all of you and explain some of the things that I have been faced with recently.
It's so funny how many stories are put out there about people. It's like we all want our side of the story out there as well, but at the end of the day only a few people care to hear what is really going on since the bad is always so much more interesting than the truth. I don't know why, but this is so weird to me. I used to be angry at the tabloids for printing horrible things about me, but now I try to just be numb to what I see. I saw Tyra Banks once get really upset and cry on her show because they made her look fat. We all want a certain image of ourselves out there, and at some point we all do really care what other people think or we wouldn't be here.
Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom. Till this day I don't think that it was alcohol or depression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD. I had a manager from a long time ago come in and try to direct me and my life after I got my divorce. I was so overwhelmed I think that I was in a little shock too. I didn't know who to go to. I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost.
This letter is to not place blame on anyone, although I do see the world with a completely different set of eyes now. Being in that vulnerable state and taken to dinners and parties with friends and finding out later you paid for everything was a huge learning lesson for me. I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life. You never know another persons intentions or what another person wants. I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with. I have had to cut so many people out of my life. It is so sad, because if anyone is a family person...it is me. When I was little I remember every night watching movies with my family and feeling so at peace. Dancing and singing all the time just like a little girl should. Now recently I find with my children that I want them to have that feeling all of the time. I am having to face a lot of things right now since I have children of my own. A lot of insecurities from when I was little are coming up again. It is like we are never good enough.
I know everyone thinks that I am playing the victim, but I am not and I hate what is going on right now so much. Maybe this is the reason for this letter...to maybe allow people to look at me differently. It is like when you are a real woman and say what you feel and how you think things are supposed to be, that people just say you are a "bitch."
I feel like some of the people in my life made more of some issues than was necessary. I also feel like they knew I was beginning to use my brain for a change and cut some ties, so they wanted to be in more control of my life than me. I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce. I think it was a bigger issue because I had not gone out in such a long time. I am 25 and I do still have a lot to learn, and I am going to make mistakes everyday, and I am sure every mistake I make will probably be on CNN or Good Morning America. I am only human people and I love you for still loving me.
I am sitting here at home and it is 6:25 and both of my sons are asleep. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Everyday is so surreal. Life in general is so surreal and crazy.
I just hope this letter made some of you think a little bit more of me and where I am coming from. I just want the same things in life that you want...and that is to be happy. It is just so weird because everyone has their own perception of me and how they think I really am. It is so weird how stories are told. There is your side, my side, and the truth. Somebody has to figure it out. I guess we will never really understand or figure out life completely. That's God's job. I can't wait to meet him...or her.
Love, Britney

Enjoy!

Kiwa el Amn el Dakhly

Lamborghini_Gallardo_Italian_Police_Car

I
left my friend’s apartment a while ago heading home, but decided to pass by Quality Market to get something. Passing by the Saudi Embassy, where Lebanese Internal Forces had set up a checkpoint, a police officer stopped me after I passed the checkpoint, so I had to reverse 50 meters to see what he wants.
As usual, he had nothing to say:
Me: You wanted something?
Him: No the license plate
Me: a…
Him: (he interrupts) Yeah you’re a tourist
Me: No, I study here!
Him: Okay “allah ma3ak” (take care)
Me: Did you want something? Were you calling me?
Him: Yeah okay, nothing, “7abeebi”
Me: ?!!!! ‘Okay!’
I drove to the mini-market, got my stuff, turned around heading back home when ANOTHER officer stopped me! This time he had a purpose at least. He wanted a jump-start cable because the battery of the brand new police car had gone dead.
I’m not being sarcastic! Recently the police force introduced Ford Explorer police cars that keep their flashers on all day long while cruising around Beirut. No wonder the battery was dead. Grazie!

Ali, That's a Useful Hamster!

hamstershredder1

I was browsing for cool gadgets on the Internet when I crossed ‘hamster-powered shredder’. Unfortunately, it seems that not only we didn’t know a thing about hamsters in general (refer to AMK’s article Dead Hamsters Anyone? -on the ‘About Us’ category) but I also found out that others used a hamster’s stupidity to reach an objective.
If you trying to get rid of confidential documents, there is nothing better than a shredder with hamster poop, for everything else there is MasterCard. Google it AJK. Grazie!

This speaks volumes. I guess we need to be reminded from time to time. This is what Lebanon went through for twenty years and is taking a fast track to its recurrence! So do the Lebanese miss it that much?

I am dedicating this post to all the children of Lebanon, whose childhoods have to be spent amidst chaos as opposed to happiness and prosperity.

At the age of 41 years old, Romario has joined the 1000 goals club.

He scored his 1000
th goal in Vasco da Gama's 3-1 over Sport Recife on Sunday. The game stopped for 16 minutes where the crowd, family, and journalists jumped on the pitch to celebrate.
According to FIFA, the world’s soccer governing body, Romario scored about 929 goals, since 71 goals were during
un-official matches.

However, the 1994 World Cup winner joins his Brazilian compatriot Pele (who scored 1,281 goals during his career) in the 1000 career goals club.

It's Official: This is a Joke!

ccc0003

Contrary to what certain commentators had alluded to in my previous post, my intention was not to actually be in favor of, or take a stand against, Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah. I was trying to portray the need for impartiality given the sensitivity of the issue. And while other commentators affirmed that Ali Al-Sabah was previously put to trail, he was in fact never brought before justice, and only yesterday did he present himself before a commission that investigates a case that was brought against him, at least five years ago.

My post today, is about an important point raised by the Al-Watan newspaper. I understand that Sheikh Ali owns the enterprise, but that does not mean that he has to use it to advertise his innocence, given that he has not been proven innocent-or guilty-YET. In today’s edition, Al-Watan insinuated that
in his statement, Sheikh Ali pleaded to the investigators that the case brought against him is political, untrue, and biased. More importantly, Sheikh Ali also provided important insight-whether intended or not-to the durability factor.

The law, after a number of years, if a case is not dealt with, refuses to provide insight into it. In the United States for example, once twenty years have elapsed on a case, a court immediately drops it on grounds of durability. In my previous post,
“The Detriment of Innocence,” I noted the importance of dealing with this issue, both swiftly and to ban its recurrence.

Al-Watan’s quote of its owner, has presented us with an important factor: Is the KOTC case still durable? If not, then we need to start dealing with that prior to anything else, MPs: You may need to change a law, before you waist your time. Because if not,
THEN THIS ISSUE IS OFFICIALLY A JOKE!

**Side-Note:

Most newspapers, noted yesterday that
H.H. the Amir was extremely agitated with remarks made by certain MPs. While one cannot know for sure, it is quite obvious that the incident he was referring to was that of Waleed Al-Osaimi*. I personally agree that such vulgur dialogue is beneath the National Assembly, but I think its President, should be reprimanded for his ill-judgment and inability to control the Assembly’s proceedings as opposed to his continued statements of optimism, which almost always are untrue and do not reflect the reality of the country!

*Thank you to all those who brought it to my attention that his name is Waleed and not Mishari as I originally stated.

A Bad Book Killed the Virigin Megastore!

Untitled-1-1

I
must have judged this book by its cover! This is exactly what I felt after reading the first 13 chapters of the book “ Chicago”. Chicago by Alaa Al Aswaani is supposedly the book that got Virgin Megastore in Kuwait to Shut Down. The day I found out that this book shut down Vigin Megastore, I thought I must read that book and see what is wrong with it! The exact same day I went to Virgin Lebanon (I work in Lebanon) and got it! The sales person said, “ I’m sure you’re from Kuwait!” I responded, “ Why are you asking? And yes I am, how did you find out??” he mentioned, that many of their Kuwaiti customers came and bought this book. He also said that he feels it’s so “Stupid” for the government to do such a thing! This sales person believed its absolutely ridiculous and as quoted “ QIMAT IL TAKHALUF” to close Virgin Kuwait for such a reason. I argued with him a bit, the fact that a non-Kuwaiti insulting my country and calling us uncivilized bothered me. I ignored him later on and thought it would be so preposterous to argue with the person without me even reading the book or understanding what the big deal is with that specific book.

I got home with full of excitement, got the book out and started reading. At the beginning I felt it a bit interesting. I’m not sure though is it because I’m reading something that’s banned from my country or is it really interesting? Chapter after chapter, I started realizing why this book got banned from Kuwait. Basically it’s because the author describes the bodies of some of the Women Characters in a very detailed way, and a lot of sex is mentioned. I didn’t pay much attention to these things and continued reading. Chapter 9 was a turning point to me. After reading the first 9 chapters I realized how boring this book is and there is no point of me continuing the book. I had some second thoughts and said it might get better later on in the coming chapters. The exact opposite happened! I’m in chapter 14 now. And I’ve decided to put this book in the shelf side by side with the other books I’ve read. It’s not worth reading! I don’t recommend it to anyone; the book is rubbish, pointless, unimportant, and boring! Last but not least, the cover of the book is UGLY! I wish they’ve done small effort and did something a little more attractive! Enjoy!

The Detriment of Innocence

OM2365
On the offset, I’d like to explicitly underline that my position is not in favor of a particular side involved in the current topical debate in Kuwait today-the protection of public funds. I would like, through this article however, to provide a refined kaleidoscope through which we can holistically view the issue. The discourse appears to be in favor of shifting the issue from a legal to a public matter. More specifically, the National Assembly is currently undertaking a leading role in providing their perspectives on the issue of public funds. Concentrating on a long outstanding case, and the most pertinent, the purloining of funds allocated to the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company. The Kuwaiti constitution clearly states the right of an accused to due process. In other words, one is entitled to a free, open and transparent trial and remains innocent until proven guilty. In Kuwait the detriment of this ‘innocence’ seems to be turning the state into a charade in the following ways:

1)The accussed, namely Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah, is condemned in the eyes of the public, although he has yet to be tried directly in this matter and as such his innocence, at this point, is useless given that this condemnation appears to be fixated. MPs who appear to hold on this course, while implying that he may be innocent, are actually condemning him, contrary to his legal rights as a citizen. The recent uproar in parliament where the Minister of Oil was subjugated to serious questioning as to his relationship with Ali Al-Sabah is a crystallized example of this.

2)We seem to know two specific names on the KOTC case: Abdulfattah Al-Bader and Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah, and a third person who seems to have vanished from the case altogether, Mr. Qabazard. In most Kuwaiti diwanays, or conversations that address this topic, there seems to be a lack of knowledge on the two outstanding persons involved. Given the magnitude of this issue, I would assume that it would only be right to treat all five on equal footage.

3)Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah’s right to a due process requires for him to be in a tried! Naturally, a factor that seems to be creating the current outrage is the unparalleled immunity that he seems to posses. If he is innocent and to this day, legally he is (see point one), then as citizens of Kuwait, we deserve to know for certain that he was not involved, and equally so, there is a need to enact concrete measures to handle the cases of all of those involved in this case, whether directly or discretely. And therefore his unconfirmed innocence renders his public, yet unofficial condemnation.

Finally, I wish to point that while the KOTC case is an unmatched case in Kuwait, or the region for that matter, it is not the only case of assault on public funds. And while the current debate in the National Assembly and elsewhere appear to be a healthy step, they are not sufficient. The assaults were possible, and remain possible due to the inadequate procedures that are in place to ensure that public funds are protected. As such, my advice to MPs and Kuwaitis is to capitalize on the current momentum to not only ensure that the accused are brought to justice, but even more so to avowedly state, “NEVER AGAIN!”

**UPDATE** 05/15/2007

I was surfing the web and went into the archives of Mohammed Al-Jasem's blog. I just found out that in the past two years he has NEVER written a single article on the KOTC case or any other related to the assaults on public funds--hmm, I wonder why?!

I was at SFA’s watching TV when the news was on; they talked about a revolutionary e-cigarette developed by the Chinese of course. China is the home of 400 million smokers where the tobacco industry is worth more than $100 billion. Getting to the point. This innovative e-cigarette works on batteries, offering nicotine to the lungs within 7-10 seconds, and most interestingly it emits vapor-smoke. Therefore, it doesn’t only looks like a cigarette and feels like one, but also is an actual smoking experience. The prestige is that all in all, this e-cigarette isn’t bad for health. Meanwhile it acts as a substitute to nicotine patches, chewing gums, and inhalers.
The Chinese firm first introduced the electronic cigarette in 2003, and is hoping to double sales this year by expanding globally. The e-cigarette is available currently in China, Turkey, and in the Palestinian occupied territories and cost about $200. Grazie!

1st Warning!!

warning 1

A couple of days ago I was arguing with MHB on the limit that we should have in our articles for Buzberry. I was so pissed because every time we should consider young kids in our writings. I hate this idea. I actually don’t want kids to enter our website! I’m not promoting porn but what’ the matter when I posted the famous comparison of which is better chocolate or sex! MHB told me that some of his friends that I totally respect were pissed because it is cheap! I respect their way of thinking but, the thing is if you don’t like it, don’t read it! I JUST DON’T CARE. The thing that made me crazy is that FAH and MHB rejected the idea of AJK posting an article about Jessica Simpson talking about Britney and Cristina Aguilera should wear panties! FAH talks about liberalism and freedom and that shit, but he doesn’t apply it!! NOW don’t ask me how. FAH is a dictator! But the thing is no more dictatorship! Trust me I will kick your ass if you fuckin disagree with any other article posted by anyone in the team. I don’t care if you’re the chairman! I will turn the table and name SFA as the president! This is just a warning! Also, I want u guys to act fucking normal and enjoy life! I don’t give a damm shit if no one checks Buzberry!! Just lets post what we want and experience in Beirut. Every one of us has a story, which I love to share without restrictions! Also, SFA should post the poem about the Iraqi people! Which when this fuckin liberal saw it almost collapsed from anger because its about Iraq!! MHG, don’t be fuckin silly! The article about the queen was taken from “the Sun”, they did not explain how her majesty knights people!! So stop making yourself the most knowledgeable person on earth! And u AJK STOP TALKING ABOUT MARADONA & SAYED HASSAN NASRALLAH ( I know he is a great leader just get over him!!)!! AND YES KIKI YOU ARE THE BEST!! And PLZ KTV STOP THIS SHIT EVERY THURDAY NIGHT WHEN YOU SHOW US THIS PIECE OF SHIT “WOROUD” WHOM SOMEONE CALLED A TV HOST.

I Can't Get Alcohol

we-want-beer_web

Maybe 90% of you understood the title to imply that ‘I wanted to get alcohol but couldn’t’. Well, what I really meant was that I can’t get why people drink alcohol. I’ve always wondered what’s the good side to booze? Okay, these are the facts that I’m aware of: relief from stress, try to soothe problems, forget about something troubling; I still can’t get it.
I know that for a fact, alcohol is really bad for the liver, kidney, and other internal organs. Plus I really think it tastes bad. What’s really interesting about getting drunk, acting stupidly, and most importantly showing the whole world to how much of a jerk you are? Still, I’m trying hard….Still can’t get it.
One positive form of alcohol, I believe, might be wine, which gives a special taste to food, as some might think. While Islamic law embargoes alcohol 'haram', the question is one that relates to regulation since consuming alcohol is an issue that cannot be directly regulated by a superior entity, it is therefore best to banned. And Islamic Shari’a engenders the deficit in human nature (that they can't be controlled and will never act uniformly because people are the way they are!) and therefore alcohol consumption has been dealt with accordingly, by simply banning it. Why can’t people wait until they reach heaven (inshalla) and drink heavenly wine as much as they can? Regardless of one’s religious belief, alcohol is the reason behind many mental, social, and health problems why don’t you eliminate it and even avoid falling into it to begin with? I still can’t get it!
I really believe that banning (haram) alcohol is due to God’s wisdom, since people well never be uniform. Therefore, if people do not put that wisdom into consideration, at least keep in mind the reason for the banishing of alcohol which is to preserve human being not only from doing ‘haram’ but also to bestow human nature from repulsive habits. I still can’t get the idea! Grazie!

Akheeran Darat El Ayam!

I
t has been a decade! I’ve been waiting to get a MAC, and at last I got it. As the Arabic figure of speech says “le kull mujtahid na9eeb” (every hard effort/work generates a benefit) – something like that.
I don’t get the hard effort thing, didn’t exist at all, however I got what I wanted after all. My friend buskandar was accusing me of being a saver, a miser to be more precise or as FAH says: being economic. First of all I would like to thank him for this accusation, at least I waited long for something worth it, on the contrary my sweet buskandar is just as our mate AMK who always waits for the newer version of the recently introduced version of any gadget (especially mobiles).
I won’t make it long as usual, Apple really rocks! Thank you Stevie Jobs, Mr. Gates you suck. I really can’t describe the satisfaction I’m experiencing I’ve had the MacBook for less than a day.
Buskandar, don’t worry, the Leopard is coming soon, or you can wait for the Lion along with our beloved AMK. Grazie!

Dryer Balls..

dryerballsnewlr
I saw these balls on BBC news a couple of days ago and they really interested me. Technology never stops developing! Developed by the Chinese of course, this ball is able to save money spent on electricity and softeners, as well as maintaining the condition of fabrics.
In addition, the dryer ball is really cheap, it costs around $15 a pair. It was created to enhance energy saving consumption and replacing the everlasting fabric softners. The dryer ball is inserted in the tumble dryer where it separates the laundry while drying, which reduces the drying time. Plus, the balls retain heat and transfer them to the clothes to reduce the drying process.
Acting as a fabric softener substitute, the soft tips on the ball ‘massage’ clothes to naturally soften them. Truly there is a solution for most drawbacks, for everything else there is MasterCard! Grazie!

Kaify Day

apple-whatever

It all started when we were watching Champions League shit and Liverpool shot Chelsea out of the elite league (because they aren’t elite enough). We had just posted the article dated 30/4 which honors the Virginia Tech. victims, when SFA (the cavity) came up with a clip of a famous poet delivering a poem about Iraq today. There! It ignited! One guy supports, and the other disagrees, one threatens to quit, and the others calm each other down. I really don’t know what exactly happened. All I know is that the U.S foreign politics was behind our problem. It started as a slight misunderstanding, and ended up being a political debate, as usual in our 13th world countries.
Never mind, back to the point, some of us stated that they were really bored and wanted something new, some life into Buzberry, and would like to express whatever they would like to without the limits. And put 823 lines under ‘limit’, I only stated the word ‘limit’, because it’s normal between human beings that ‘limits’ differ from one person to another.
I really can’t get my words together, because someone at the gas station nearby has a hearing problem, and decided to invite everyone on the street to hear Om-kalthoum. What briefly happened is that some of us wanted to talk about anything they wanted no matter what the reaction/outcome would be.
Fine, we found a compromise, and decided to set a day in the week where anyone of us can write whatever he wants; and again put 763 lines under ‘whatever’. Therefore, all you’ll see today is an ‘outburst’ to some, to me it’s in simple Kuwaiti: ‘Kaify’ echoed inside everyone’s mind.
I tried to explain that Buzberry doesn’t only reflect on for instance SFA, SAK, and me, but on us all, and that’s why we operate the way we do. Anyways, I don’t want any of the readers and especially writers to take it personally. Chill out mates. (AKM please don’t comment on it) And just like the guy at the gas station does whatever he feels like doing this is our day. Grazie!

Buzberry Nemesis

Cheeks

H
ell-o again! I know you’re all mad at me because I haven’t posted in a long time. The whole buzberry group kept nagging me at first but then started threatening me and saying that if I don’t post today, I’ll be banned and would never post here again (like I care! ajk). Anyways, just wanted to say I’m sorry and that I’ve been busy these past couple of months with university and all this bloody chaos that’s happening in Lebanon. I’m not going to bore you much longer and will go straight to the point.

There has been a lot of issues that came up concerning buzberry. I didn’t want to talk about them at first but then I thought what the hell why not!

Listen to this people, one of my colleagues is always going out and spreading around rumors about our organization. He states that buzberry shouldn’t have been created and was a mistake (I think he’s just jealous for not dumping him out of the group) because he wrote some articles but there were all dreadful, started writing about how and where he grew up and how he was the best student in his class. That of course was completely boring and nobody cares about his wonderful childhood.

Anyways, we had to cut him off so we terminated his contract from the group effective immediately. Now, he’s wants revenge and by doing so he’s spreading all these lies that buzberry is plagiarized and none of what we’re saying is true. Not only that, he even went as low as saying that we hired someone to write for us!! When I heard all that, I was laughing my ass off cuz that’s so sad. I mean, who would say all those things, if we wanted to hire someone and start paying him to write the articles then why the hell would we start a blog in the first place!!

My final word to my dear friend is this, plz continue spreading the rumors about us because first of all, we don’t care and second of all, they’re so goddamn funny that I don’t want him to stop. (By the way, the latest one is that he is the founder of buzberry and that all his articles about his childhood were extremely interesting that even his mom thought they were funny, what a loser!!)

PS: my co-writers write these end of the post words in order for their readers to know them such as grazie or enjoy so I’m going to come up with one of my own today.

God bless the Queen and steve mcjobs and our beloved chairman!

Imsodan wala imsodan...!

Untitled-1
I went to starbucks Verdun with my friends for coffee and a very interesting topic came through.

FAH: Bu Fareed how much will you give your wife (mahar)?
Bu Fareed: shako?
FAH: I am just asking.
Bu Fareed: I don’t know maybe 500 KD.
FAH: Bes?
Bu Fareed: Yes why should I give her more?
FAH: I don’t know, but I think that Kuwaiti girls need more money. 500 KD is not enough! It doesn’t even cover the cost of her wedding dress.
Bu Fareed: Okay, so how much should I give her?
Bu Anwar: you should atleast give her 10,000 KD!
Bu Fareed: no way 10,000 ib 3ainik. I’d rather not getting married then.
Bu Anwar: Well this is Kuwait and girls are demanding you must titmasha ma3a il 3asur wil ritim il saree3 wil kilimat il mitwathi3a il 3amalt-ha.
Bu Fareed: No seriously, 10,000 is a lot. You are talking about 30,000 dollars!
Bu Anwar : yah I know. In order to get married in Kuwait you must at least have 60,000 KD because you must buy your wife shabka, dibla, and they cost wayed! Don’t forget shahar il 3asal. You must take her to London, Paris, and all expensive countries. What’s wrong with you yabaah? Hay inta imsodan ma tifham! oo ba3dain laish bakheel?
Bu Fareed: It’s not about bakheel ma bakheel. Its about why all that! Girls in other countries don’t demand a lot! They are cheaper.
Bu Anwar: Saa7, Kuwaiti girls must change their mentality and they must know that we are not machines; we can’t just give them what they want. They must understand that there is a limit!
Bu Fareed: 3aleek noor il zawaj bilq8 sar shibh mista7eel.

At the end of the day, they agreed that getting married is not easy. Now what do you think?

Battle of Surfaces, Modernization Sucks!

-2

Yesterday I saw the weirdest tennis game ever! The Battle of Surfaces, was an encounter between King of Clay Rafael Nadal (world #2) and King of Grass Roger Federer (world #1) on a tennis court which was sliced half clay and half grass!
Federer had never defeated Nadal on a clay court, meanwhile the last have always failed to win on grass against world’s #1. Unfortunately the Spaniard won the match (7-5, 4-6, 7-6), but the legend Roger will always be a legend.
I don’t care how much people loved the event (I loved it too, for a change) but it shouldn’t be repeated or taken into consideration to be an official event. It’s like having a soccer fields cut in half, or to be realistic more, a volleyball court which is a hard surface court on one side and sand on the other.
What happened last night during the tiebreaker in the
Battle of Surfaces is that every time Nadal and Federer had to switch sides, they had to stop and change their shoes for the other side of the court. Grazie!

A Royal Gunner.. & a Loyal Devil!

0,,2007181403,00
Her Majesty, the Queen confessed to the public that she supports Arsenal FC, just like her mom. She confessed her love of Arsenal during a February reception at Buckingham Palace, in the presence of the players and officials from the club. The Queen also had a chat with Arsenal's midfielder Cesc Fabregas, she showed how she admires the way he plays and wished him the best for the future.
Even though I'm a fan of the Red Devils, I am really happy that her Majesty showed how loyal she is and did not put boundaries between her and the players. This thing is great. Hope this will motivate the gunners next season.

queen_visit13

PS. The Queen is a loyal Arsenal fan, but she did not favor them over the others. She knighted Sir Alex Ferguson from Man UTD, Steven Gerard from Liverpool, and unfortunately David Beckham. This shows how fair the Royals are, not like some in the Arab world!!
