والله العظيم...ديرة بطيخ
عجزت أن ألقى وصفا يلائم الجو العام السائد في الكويت. لا أدري إذا حل بنا الوقت لكي نؤمن بأن هنالك مؤامرة حقيقية لتدمير هذا البلد ولا أعلم من المستفيد من جراء هذه الأعاصير التي تلوح تجاه الكويت التي زرتها منذ ثلاثة أسابيع وأقسم بالله بأن شعور الغربة والتوحش روادني وأنا في وطني.
لا أعلم كيف أبدأ وماذا أقول ولكن لديكم في واقع الحال بعض “الإنجازات” التي قام بها المسؤولين في الدولة منذ شهر:
تعديل قانون العمل
القانون الذي أقر أساسا في عام ١٩٦٥ والذي يضع الإطار العام للإسلوب العمل وما فيه. فجاء في الحقيقة تعديل أقر بالإجماع بأن يمنعن النساء من العمل من الساعة الثامنة مساء وحتى الساعة السابعة من صباح اليوم الثاني بإستثناء القطاع الصحي. وقد صرح النائب وليد الطبطبائي بأن هذا التعديل يهدف إلى الحفاظ على كرامة المرأة وكأنه يلوح السيد المفتي الأعلى بأن جميع نساء الكويت عاهرات وصاحبات صالات ليلية لذلك ينبغي على الحكومة أن تعيد تحفظ أنوثة المرأة.
والمصيبة بأن القانون أقر بالإجماع-أي حتى الليبراليون وافقوا على القانون. والأدهى والأمر بأنهم من بعد ذلك قدموا إعتذارا على موافقتهم على القانون مبررين ذلك بعدم علمهم على محتويات القانون!!
كفوا يا نوبنا الأعزاء...إحنا رازينكم علشان إتنمامون بالجلسات وإنمشيلكم راتب ٢٠٠٠ دينار وجواز خاص وموبايل وسكرتارية علشان إتقولون--والله ما كنا ندري أسفين....ما تنلامون لأنكم طايحين إبديرة بطيخ!
تقرير الخارجية الأمريكية حول التجارة في البشر
أصدرت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية تقريرا سنويا حول وضع المتاجرة بالبشر فوضعت الكويت بجانب ثلاثة دول أخرى على اللائحة السوداء لتفشي هذه الظاهرة من خلال تجارة الإقامات وحقوق البدون ومشاكل الكفالة. فتسارع المسؤولين وغير المسؤولين (لأن الصحف في الكويت باتت تنشر تصريح من أي شخص بعلم أو غير علم لملىء الصفحات) وعلى رأسهم الناطق الرسمي غير الرسمي للدولة أمثال الأحمد الصباح بأن المتاجرة في البشر في أمريكا ليس في الكويت أخذة بكلامها سنه حميدة للمسؤلين في الكويت بأن “الزين عندنا والشين حوالينا” ثم أكملها الفاضل محمد صباح السالم بالقول بأن الخارجية الأمريكية تنقصها المعلومات لأن الدولة تعد حاليا مشاريع قوانين لكبح جماح هذه الظاهرة--مصيبة إذا وزير الخارجية لا يعلم بأن تقارير حقوق الإنسان تشخص الواقع مستندة على ما لديها من معلومات ولا تشخص النوايا لأن الخبراء المعديين للتقارير لم يفرض عليهم مادة “قرأة الكف” لكنها كانت مادة إختياري في الجامعة!!!
كفوا يا حكومتنا الساكتة عن هل الإستهتارات والتصريحات الماصخة...ما تنلامون ما تعودتوا أحد إقولكم ردوا على وراكم...وهم طاحين إبديرت بطيخ!!!
إستجواب وزير النفط
بدى لي بعد متابعة دقيقة بأن مجلس الوزراء هو مجلس التقنيات الحديثة لأنه يختصر على نفسه الجهد والوقت وأعتقد بأن هنالك تصريح محفوظ في أرشيف الأمانة العامة لمجلس الوزراء يوزع على الصحف قبل يومين من الإستجواب المقرر لأي وزير ويعدل إسم المصرح وهو “الحكومة إستمعت إلى رد الوزير ومطمأنة على ردوده وسيفاجىء الجميع” وفي النهاية....طلب طرح ثقة يؤدى إلى إستقالة،
هذا الإستجواب كان أفضل فيلم مسرحي شاهدته منذ سنوات. فالمستجوب مسلم البراك يعرض صور تعود تاريخها لعام ١٩٨٧ والوزير يبرر إستخدام أموال الدولة لأغراض غير شريفة بأنه غير مسؤول عن نوايا الناس وتربيتهم!
ولكن ما هو أوجع بأن يقدم النائب البراك مستندات واضحة بأن علي الجراح يقوم إستلم مبالغ من علي الخليفة وقد سهل الجراح مهمة فتح حسابات لشركات وهمية إستخدمة لسرقة الناقلات..ولكن الحكومة عوضا عن تحويل الجراح للتحقيق والنيابة تقوم بتأجيل موضوع إستقالته وتقكر بتدوير تنقل فيها الجراح لوزارة أخرى...وعليه إذا ما ثبت كلام البراك فتقوم الحكومة بتغطيت أعمال حرامي...لكن ما ينلام طايح إبديرة بطيخ
أخر الكلام
بالفعل ديرة بطيخ فلا نائب عاقل ولا وزير مختص ورئيس الورزاء لا يعلم كيف يضبط وضع وزرائه أو إدارة البلد...إذا هذه لا تعد من ركائز دول “البطيخ” ما سماتها إذا؟

Management 101
I received this email lately, and would like to share this short story with you all.
One fine day, a bus driver went to the bus garage, started his bus, and drove off along the route. No problems for the first few stops - a few people got on, a few got off, and things went generally well.
At the next stop, however, a big hulk of a guy got on. Six feet eight, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" and sat down at the back.
Did I mention that the driver was five feet three, thin, and basically meek? Well, he was. Naturally, he didn't argue with Big John, but he wasn't happy about it. The next day the same thing happened - Big John got on again, made a show of refusing to pay, and sat down. And the next day, and the next.
This grated on the bus driver, who started losing sleep over the way Big John was taking advantage of him. Finally he could stand it no longer.
He signed up for body building courses, karate, judo, and all that good stuff.
By the end of the summer, he had become quite strong; what's more, he felt really good about himself. So on the next Monday, when Big John once again got on the bus and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" the driver stood up, glared back at the passenger, and screamed, "And why not?"
With a surprised look on his face, Big John replied, "Big John has a bus pass."
Management Lesson: "Be sure there is a problem in the first place before working hard to solve one."

Quite Impressive
Twenty two-year-old Roma and Italy under 21 midfielder Alberto Aquilani fractures a 13 year old boy’s wrist when he missed the target trying to score against England during the European Championship last week.*
Known for his powerful set pieces, Aquilani struck a Dutch spectator as the ball went off the target, however the boy was compensated by Aquilani’s shirt signed by all the Italian squad. Lucky bastard! Grazie!

The Source of Religion
I’ve been thinking for quite sometime as to whether I should resume my discussion on religion which I concluded my first series on in February.
Recently, however, I visited a very interesting blog entitled “The Ultimate,” where its owner wrote a very impressive viewpoint entitled “A Voyage Into Religion.” I thought it would be worthwhile to share given the interest that it received and the good caliber of debate it spur.
I’d like to thank Ayya for taking the time to write that article and being so responsive to the comments we’ve all posted.

Welcome to Civilization
I’ve heard from a friend yesterday, that our beloved Kuwait is under pressure from a Human Rights thingy which is irritated by the human trafficking in Kuwait (mistreating labour in terms of wages and using some of the labour as a commercial tool by selling off immigration visas). I heard that the US Department of State is going to sanction Kuwait, and most importantly set a minimum wage for labour in Kuwait. In addition, Kuwait has been black listed by the US Dept. of State.
At least ‘unstable Beirut’ has a $200 minimum wage, which my friend started laughing when he heard about. Grazie!

Controversial Author: Now an OBE!
As per the annual custom, the Queen of England has announced her list of this year’s figures who will be knighted by receiving the title ‘Officer of the British Empire’ or OBE. The most controversial person on the list, is Indian native, Salman Rushdie-world celebrated author, and crafter of the controversial book, The Satanic Verses.
Published in 1988, the book has been received with harsh criticism across the Muslim world, and trigerred a fatwa of takfir by Aytollah Khomeini in 1989. Rushdie had been in hiding since then, and only appeared in public life nine years later after Iranian officials relented the fatwa.
Like his book, the announcement of Rushdie as an official holder of the OBE thus granting him the title ‘Sir’ and making him a member of the royal court, has been acutely denounced by Pakistan, Iran and a large number of Muslim states who have called for the boycott of diplomatic relations with the UK. The UK has yet to officially respond.
Is this decision a step in the right direction by grating free speech its rightful stand, or is it, as put by Pakistani Minister for Religious Affairs, Ejaz-ul-haq, that such actions are “the root causes of terrorism?”

Showtime Wants YOU!
I couldn’t care less about the Arabic commentators of the English Premiership League, since I prefer to watch matches with English commentary, which is provided to all broadcasters worldwide by the sponsoring company of TV rights. As some of you know, next season the Premiership will be broadcasted to the Middle East through SHOWTIME instead of last season’s ART.
It seems that SHOWTIME has a shortage of Arabic commentators. Therefore, they started a competition for anyone who has the expertise and willing to be a commentator of next season’s broadcasting team, where the winner of the competition will be offered a contract to work at SHOWTIME Sports as a commentator of the English Premiership League (for the Middle East region). Grazie!
