QuickOrder is an iPhone application that will allow the iPhone users to order coffee from their local starbucks. The purpose of this application is to save time; instead of waiting in the line for a long time you can simply order your coffee and pick it up as soon as you reach. I hope that this application works in Kuwait in the near future especially that every starbucks in Avenues is full.

Eneloop!

Not that of an appealing name for batteries I guess. I glimpsed the Eneloop rechargeable batteries from SANYO while I was at the Sanyo showroom somewhere in Shuwaikh Ind. Area. I’ve always thought that rechargeable batteries are useless, every time I saw them beside the cashiers at supermarkets.
The Eneloop costs 7 KD, which I believe is a bit expensive, but wait; you get 4- double A (AA) batteries and a charger. The charger is able to hold 4-double A batteries and a couple of triple A (AAA) batteries all in one time.
The Eneloop is part of a Sanyo project which targets to ‘save’ the environment, or in other words enviro-friendly.
What I liked about those batteries is that their lifetime is longer than regular (disposable) batteries, and when batteries (eneloop) are dead, just plug them into the charger for a bit, and you got new batteries!
*Esp. for digital cameras

Plazma TV!

While I was going to shop for some Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts, in GS Store at the Dunes Mall I was shocked when I saw this HUGE 103 inch plasma TV! It’s actually the world’s largest plasma TV. It’s the Panasonic Viera 90. My god this plasma is so BIG! I felt like jumping inside the TV. While asking the sales person to inform me a bit more about it, she told me that there are only four available in Lebanon and it costs $70,000 only. It is very expensive, other than that it’s great! Enjoy!

PERFECTIONISTS!

I can't start my day unless I have a shot or two of espresso, then I can function like a normal human being. But what would my day be when I make my coffee with a Tonino Lamborghini coffee machine? This is a beautiful limited edition coffee maker made by Lamborghini. Only 1000 pieces are to be produced, and it costs about $1750. If you love coffee, GET IT! It’s really worth it!
PS. Lamborghini apparently do even roast their own coffee beans, so why not feel special!

The Perfect Solution

During the last year I had to replace my iPod charger once and my phone charger three times! That’s all because the outlets in my appurtenant are placed in the wrong places, where I have to leave my iPod and phone dangling from their chargers.
However, I found the perfect solution, where you can attach this flat hammock-like object and leave any small item on it. It cost about $13 and comes in black, red, and pink. I’m definitely going to order one for myself.

Well done! This is a great innovation of matchbox. As simple as that, when you pull one match out, it will light.(you will understand how it works from the pic above) This is so simple, but really amazing.
P.S: I really want to light my cigarette from this matchbox! & if I get it, JBB and Bu3ali won't touch it!

Your Home Theater in a Box

I was browsing the Internet, trying to locate a speaker my cousin once told me about which he saw in Malaysia last year. The speaker he told my about was a ½ meter log which provided surround audio. However, while I was browsing I found that Philips would be offering a one speaker surround system also.
The Ambisound HTS8100 SoundBar provides a full 5.1 sound system with amplifiers and a DVD player, all that in a 5-inch thick bar. Boasting 6 speakers besides the central glass panel of the Ambisound, which Philips say is the future of sound technology. The Ambisound could be mounted elegantly on the wall to match Flat TVs and offer an outstanding sound output. Therefore, plenty speakers and wiring around the room isn’t necessary anymore. You can get it this June for $799. Grazie!

'Mydo Bruru'

What an invention! The Japs continue to produce great products that really satisfy their people. I think they had many reports from their people that they needed something other than coffee to make sure that they don't fall asleep during their work, school, or when they're driving. The result was an eye glass called “ Mydo Bruru”. These glasses have a tiny battery-operated motor attached to the ear hook, which vibrates below a certain angle making sure you don't lose your consciousness. It is reported to be a big hit in Japan right now.
I wish that they had created those glasses a long time ago, because until today; my last semester in AUB, I still fall asleep in every class room.

Ducky WON’T POOP on your Carpet!!!

I have no idea why they called him Ducky. It’s a VIRTUAL DOG with human development skills! Why not Doggy!? But no matter what they call it, we should salute these brilliant Japanese minds.. Bravo
Ok, this virtual pet has six internal sensors throughout its body, and responds appropriately to being touched, carried, can talk to the user with expressive eye movements. “Ducky” also develops from a not-so-understanding pet, simple barking dog to an intelligent humanoid one that can speak over 650 words in Japanese. When “Ducky” reaches full maturity, he would be able to greet you, ask you about your day, wish you a happy birthday, and sing duets with you at karaoke. This virtual pet will follow your sleep schedule, and you can program it to nap while you go out and wake up when you come home. The GREAT thing about Ducky is that it doesn’t poop or have a pepe on your carpet. Also, if it annoys you, keep it in the closet and it won’t die.
PS. I hope one day Ducky speaks English or Arabic, and I hope one day an Arab mind thinks of creating something interesting rather than eating, taking huge dumps, and sleeping.. GOD BLESS THE JAPS!!!

iPod Speaker Bag

Lifepod on Friday opened sales of the Rock Steady. Said to recall classic gym bags, the bag holds a special compartment for an iPod or any other digital audio player that connects to the bag's built-in, three-satellite speakers while leaving ample room in the bag itself. A set of external controls on the outside give basic adjustment of the sound without having to reach for the player inside. The stereo delivers three watts of sustained power and will run for "hours" on four AA batteries, according to the company. The Rock Steady is available in several different two-tone colors ranging from black and white to an overt gold and platinum scheme and sells today for $130.

Congratulations Coffee Lovers

Is it a mug? Is it computer mouse? Well, it’s both! This simple coffee mug can also function as a computer mouse. You click by pushing the whole mug towards the table. Holding 150 ml of your favorite hot drink (and keeping it that way by a heater); this mug could be the next best thing for those who are content with the slow speed of this mouse. Also it can be connected through a USB cable or through infrared. CAN’T WAIT!
