The Pump is Back!
03/03/08 23:42

According to hauteconcept, Reebok re-introduced sneakers with pumps ones we used to have at some stage in childhood. I remember having one a bit like the one above. My brother used to tell me basketball players were able to fly thanks to those pumps! Reebok introduced the pump (which is set to give you a more comfy feeling, extra support, and customized fit, but with new designs).
Those classic sneakers "Pump Bring Back", (above) were more popular in the early 90’s. However a limited amount of those classics are on sale at XLarge, Undefeated and Atmos Tokyo.

The Cost of Beauty
27/04/07 23:10

What has beauty come to? Look at the kind of society we are leaving in, why is it getting worse, why do people judge others on the way they look? Are looks really that important? Didn’t those people think that looks could be deceiving? All these questions came up to mind after seeing the “Plastic Surgery Loan” of the First National Bank (FNB).
Yes! It is a plastic surgery loan! It is very normal if you see some people issuing loans in order to build themselves homes, or others who get their loans from banks in order to get their businesses running. But Banks like the ‘FNB’ issuing loans to encourage people to do a plastic surgery is complete nonsense to me. I’m not blaming the bank for giving such loans but I’m blaming the society we are in, which lead banks and financial institutions to start to think that way. Nowadays we see a lot of our beautiful girls growing up trying to acquire bodies or looks of some fashion models/celebrities and ending up bulimic or even anorexic.
To these girls I say is it really worth it? Is shaping up your body worth your life? Is that what some girls are aiming for? We are in the 21st century and I get so surprised when I see so many people in this world that only care on the way they look! In my own opinion a person must have some self-confidence and not walk onto this fake world that most of our women are falling into. A small advice: Its not the way you look that will make you a better person it’s who you are.
P.S I’m not generalizing that all girls are like that I’m just focusing on the some who are so into their looks! By the way, this also applies to men who are just interested in thier appearances. Enjoy!

The Half a Million “Opus 7” in Kuwait!
31/03/07 17:11

For all watch and jewelry lovers, you are less than two weeks away from “The Basel World Watch & Jewelry Show.” The Basel Show (located in Switzerland) is going to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. Expectations say that this year is going to be the biggest show ever. The Basel Show is going to contain almost 30 percent of the world watches and jewelry, which is worth $20 billion. After watching an interview with Harry Winston’s CEO, Mr. Hamdy AlShatty, Harry Winston will launch the “Opus 7” which will be the surprise of the Basel Show. (Harry Winston is considered one of the world’s oldest jewelry brands in the world and yet the famous.) What’s so unique and special about the “Opus 7” watch is that there will only be a production of 6 watches, one in every continent, “The Opus is a concept based on Harry Winston's idea of creating, each year, an exceptional timepiece in partnership with one of Switzerland's most gifted independent hierological creators.” The designer of the watch can’t design any other watch’s during the rest of his life. Believe it or not, one of the six watches is going to be in Kuwait! Already all of the 6 watches are sold out and they will be receiving them after the show. The watch is worth $500,000.
The limited edition “Opus 7” six pieces are going to be heading to The United States, Japan, Russia, Great Britain, Switzerland, and Kuwait.
Personally I know for a fact that I would love to be there and I’m sure anyone interested in watches and jewelry would love it as well. The Show will be held from the12 of April - 19 of April. Enjoy!

Disoriented Definition of Fashion
26/03/07 21:52

As we evolve, our dress code develops with us; our food choices become more extravagant, our interests change, and most importantly our ability to style ourselves expands. But the question is: When did this process of styling ourselves become so outrageous? When did our sense of style become so disturbing to the point that we have managed to remove the “t” from “taste” to add a “w” to create a “waste”?
Whether talking about men or women, the definition of fashion changed a lot in the previous half-a-century. Every decade had its own significance in terms of the fashion culture and each of those decades was a step to a trendier era, that is the present day. However, who knew that those steps would lead to an era of fashion disaster? I mean come on ladies and gentlemen, look around and watch how disgraceful we’ve become and think back to the days when Marilyn Monroe wore her beautiful white dress. It was a fashion sensation, which not only made her a sex symbol; it made her a fashion goddess for she single-handedly transformed fashion from a conservative rigid look to a more flamboyant curvy phase. Why, because it looked good, it was more feminine, and it enhanced the appearance of women around the world, unlike what women are trying to do today.

It’s NOT a jeans, it’s a $60,000 jeans!!
04/02/07 02:46

Some times different people appreciate different things, which proves why they are different. One might spend a fortune on a watch, or a car, while a Japanese collector decided to spend $60,000 on a pair of jeans instead a classy roadster! A 115- year old Vintage Levis was sold on eBay for a record-breaking $60,000, whereas it might have cost no more than $1 back in 1873 when denim was used for work pants.

New Concept watch by Swatch..
29/01/07 00:33

British designer Laurence Dawes designed a concept watch for Swatch. This watch is like a bicycle pump tube, and it looks really cool. We wish we could say that this watch is ready to hit the stores, but unfortunately not yet.
It looks really nice, but I think they should have it in more colors since the only male color is black.
You can see many more designs of Laurence Dawes at this link:
