X6 in Kuwait

I was at BMW and I saw the new X6. I thought that it was a concept! But I was surprised when the sales person told me that it will released on April! We took it for a test drive; it wasn't bad, but I didn't notice anything new in the car. According to my friend who drove the car, the X6 performance was almost identical to the X5, which means that nothing is really special about it. Regarding the design, I will leave it for you guys to decide!

New Infiniti Kuwait..

Al Babtain company opened a new Infiniti showroom in Kuwait. According to Infiniti manager, its the 3rd Infiniti showroom in the world! Infiniti launched Ex 35 which is a new sport CUV. They also launched M35 which looks like the M45 but comes in a 6 cylinder engine. The Ex 35 will be starting from 13,500 KD, while the M35 will be starting from 14,600 KD. Al Babtain also announced that the showroom will include a complete Infiniti service centre.
Now what about the new FX? According to some rumors, the new FX will be released on August 2008!

Yes, this amazing car is 100 % Moroccan. Abdulsalam Alaraqi (a Moroccan business man) used to design cars in Italy and France decided to establish his own company in Morocco. He established his company in 2002 and named it Laraki because of his family name (Al araqi). Laraki currently comes in two models (Fulgura and Borac) and will soon release a new model that will compete with the Maserati.

I wish they had these when I was a child; I would’ve taken care of it more than any bicycle I got!
The Ferrari is an expensive car! The FXX pedal car is affordable but still expensive for a pedal car. However, equipped with a “seven-speed transmission, an on-board computer, disc brakes, semi-slick racing tires and styling” leather steering and aerodynamic kit, sounds like good business.
Pictured above, costs around €1500 , and there is always a cheaper one (€500).

Merc SL 2009! I kind of hated it at the first glimpse, but I changed my mind after deeply gazing at others shots. I guess it is one of those cars you have to see in reality to feel the heat. I mean even the guy in the picture is smiling!

Behold! the UK only, special edition of the Land Rover Defender! They've called it “SVX” and it is launched in celebration of the company’s 60th anniversary with a limited production of 200 units. And yes Mr. Bo Ahmad, it has the Ipod equipment and stuff.

I drove the new SRT Grand Cherokee a week ago, an amazing car. However, I felt a bit suspicious on the brakes. I didn’t have a good feeling about their performance and concluded that the brakes felt weak, compared to the monster engine. I was told the SUV was equipped with Brembo brakes. The prospect of seeing Corvette fire fighters can now be met in Dubai. The Civil Defense Department had adopted the Corvette C6 as a vital instrument to reach fire scenes and car entrapments in a faster way, aiming to rescue victims and offer first aid until the fire trucks arrive. The aim is to decrease the time from fire stations to fire scenes, where the Chevy is equipped with ‘fire extinguishers and hydraulic equipment and first aid kits.’

Certain reports coming from Germany state that both Volkswagen and Apple Inc., are working together on a common project to be known as the "iCar."
Volkswagen's spokesperson confirmed that a meeting was held recently in California with Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs regarding this project. It is reported that the project is in its early stages. Observers say that the "iCar’s" price would be around 6500 Euros.

Who Forgot His ENZO?

Last April while leaving the airport we glimpsed a red Enzo Ferrari parked at the cargo offices in Beirut’s airport, and of course the only assumption was that its owner is some tycoon/Emir who is getting ready to spend summer in Lebanon.
Sadly, war struck and the Enzo remained at the same place during 33 days of war, and we used to see the Ferrari every time we go to the airport.
When dropping-off OZM to the airport last night, we took a photo of the Enzo (which wasn’t even covered). It has been nearly a year and the Enzo is under the mercy of God. I’m just wondering if the owner forgot about it or if he just got bored from its color!

Watch out Audi RS4!

It’s really funny, one thing pulls another. I started off wanting to write about the new M3 coupe and ended up finding a masterpiece by a Lebanese guy. In addition, now I found out that BMW are set to introduce a four-door M3 version in fall 2008, while the new version of the regular M3 (coupe) will be launched in this year’s 3rd quarter.
The new M3 is not only introduced with a new look, but also with a new heart, a full modified 4.0 liter V8 engine that generates 420 horsepower which allows the new M3 to take-off from 0-100 Km in less than 4.2 seconds.
On top of that, the convertible M3 version will be out in spring 2008. Therefore, in about one year’s time, BMW will be offering both the coupe and convertible versions of the new M3, which I believe both have a more luxurious look than a sporty look as in the previous version of the M3.
However, the four-door version is a directly aimed at archrivals Audi, and specifically the RS4, so watch out! Grazie!

The Ultimate TV Show

Ever since I moved to my new apartment, I got addicted to TV more and more, I really don’t get the link. For the last two months, Top Gear became something essential in my life, waiting hours and days to spend an hour with Jeremy Clarkson (the host), who I believe is the funniest Brit on TV. In addition, I concluded that Top Gear isn’t just another car show, it evolved to be more of an educational TV show about regular consumer cars, crazy challenges with nature, and most importantly unveiling super-cars at their utmost performance.
During every show, the hosts (Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and that loser I can’t even remember his name – James something) start of by testing, comparing, and driving regular cars on different complex tasks and hilarious assessments. Halfway through the show, the hosts engage in extreme challenges such as racing cars with tanks, controlling cars by remote controls, and testing wreckage resistance of junk cars and etc. Plus the show includes the celebrity laps part; invited celebs challenge previous guests in lap timing races.
And in the end, my favorite part of the show, where The Stig (lap expert at Top Gear) tests the world’s greatest super-cars for a power lap to prove which car is the fastest.

German drivers are on the pressure to slow down on their highways, unfortunately not for safety reasons but environmental. It has been reported that the so-called unlimited speed highways are pressured to reduce their speed limits in order to diminish CO2 emissions. Some highways and main-roads already have speed limits, however it seems that the speedsters have to give up their fast lane and cope to regulations. The German government hadn’t yet imposed any laws, since the pressure is from the EU, and not any other German organization. Frankly, the motorists have the environment second to the speeding habbits. In addition, German automaker ‘BMW’ states that it has already cut emissions of CO2 by 20-30% on their new cars, and reducing speed limits aren’t necessary. Grazie!

Bentley has launched their new Bentley Brooklands model at the Geneva 2007 motor show. Inspired by the 1920’s ‘Bentley Boys’ at the Brooklands racetrack, this new masterpiece is said to be “the world most exclusive coupe.” Only 550 cars will be produced in the brand’s lifetime, while delivery will start earlier next year. Not only the car will be the ‘most exclusive’ but also, the Brooklands will boast the ‘most-powerful’ engine of all time Bentley have ever built, with a V8 twin-turbo, 530 horsepower, 6.8 liter engine, and a six-speed transmission. Not to forget to mention that this luxurious coupe, which will easily fit four adults, will be hand-assembled throughout production. That’s probably THE dream car. Grazie!

This photo is so disturbing, especially when you know that the car costs $1,000,000! The crash occurred in the UK; the guy was driving it while it was raining, then the super car slipped and crashed. For a million dollar car I think it should have a good traction system that will prevent it form slipping
