While We Were Sleeping

We are finally back, Buzberry fans! We’ve taken a little break ourselves, some to rest and others to read, and it was a long overdue break so we hope you’ll accept our apology.
We always like to keep you in tact on what’s going on in the world and our thoughts, so we’ll be doing so-SOVIET STYLE-(always late and overdue).

Lets see now….While many of us were abroad, including 60% (no joke) of the Minister’s in Kuwait, a small little thing happened that killed say 2-3 people and resulted in a small misunderstanding between the government and certain MPs. The newspapers referred to it as a “hospital fire” but we all know how the media exaggerates, so we’re going to call it a splinter THAT JUST HAPPENED to kill 2-3 people. Our MP’s took this to no man’s land and decided to increase their already launched attack on the Minister, with a vigor. She resigned, with praise that she did the right thing. The next morning, we ‘discover’ it was an act of BUKHOOR!

We love Kuwaiti newspapers. I think they’re great. I just can’t keep up with them anymore, I live abroad for a couple of years, thinking that nothing will change-I guess I was wrong-we’ve increased the number of newspapers to a crazy number, all of who insist that the only thing to report on is “His Highness the Amir received today,” and just for fun, include all the ministers, head’s of government departments, oh and sometimes announce the apologies of former officials who none of us barely remember (how can we the government doesn’t last that long to remember who’s in it now!) that they can’t receive people in their diwanniyas!

This has been an effective three weeks for the Kuwaiti economy I can tell you. We’ve hit a record number of RUN-A-WAY companies who’ve decided to form ‘anti-Kuwaiti’ front as some officials say, and decided to reallocate THERE MULTIMILLION dollar companies to different countries who seem to offer them better incentives. I think they’re wrong, where better to invest than Kuwait? Picture our slogan, “Kuwait…where everything goes.”

And Today, Luciannio Pavarotti died.

So as you can see we’ve had a great and productive three weeks. We hope you felt the great presence of our country’s continued strife to the better.
