the Cupcake Business

 Wii cupcakes

I know that some might not agree with what I’m about to say, but seriously; it seems that everybody is into the cookie & cupcake business. I loved the idea that some young girls started selling great homemade cupcakes, but now everybody is doing the same, it’s too much

I agree. It’s just like the head bands mania and designing clothes mania, now it’s the cupcakes mania. If there’s one thing we desperately need right now in town it’s “originality”. The youth here are full of creativity and talents but what I don’t get is why they can’t put it into practice instead of copycatting someone else. It’s frustrating. Like sul6ana said though, I guess it’s better than sipping coffee in watermelon mania.

It’s fine when you’re doing little things like that, what I find frustrating is these “ma3arith” that seem to copy each other 100%. Seriously lai mita? They all are exactly alike…ya3ne Someone once came up with a great idea…GREAT…now move on oo ibtakraw shay thane and stop copying for the sake of getting ur name out or whatever.

    Problem is..3alehum iqbal mu 9ij

    Sorry just had to vent.

We lack creativity in our region. It’s all about the money..

FAH i will comment lightly…many people will get offended of the reality we are living in these days…. sad very sad that our youth’s creativeness consists of being a dra3a designer (even gerge3an designers now), bake some cookies and cakes or sell BB skins made in china for triple the price..and they make you feel that they are rocket scientists

OZM: Don’t you think because of the way we were raised on not really put our hopes up of making something revolutionary. Instead stick to a limit that anyone is capable of. Some people would say that this is just the beginning of a new era, and soon people would expand to different kinds of creativeness.
Plus, our society makes fun of anyone who tries to accomplish something new and unorthodox.

I agree completely with OZM and somewhat disagree with L a bit (no offense)

L, nobody will ever make fun of an achievement or accomplishment if it’s done right. There are always ethical grounds to which people can abide themselves by without a censor or critic having to input anything, and the result will always astonish people if it’s something unique, original and productive or useful.

If you’re good at something it will never be hard for you, all that is required is time and dedication. And sadly that’s what I see our generation lacking these days when I know they are capable of pretty much anything.

L.. I like your passion and optimism it shows in what you said..don’t get me wrong I’m in no way against “put our hopes up of making something revolutionary.” maybe there are some people who are like that but I can’t generalize…I don’t agree with your/people view “this is just the beginning of a new era” neither I want it to be the beginning with Philippine worker baked cookies with our youth just dressing up and try to act busy…again don’t get me wrong I’m not against people selling cookies and making a business out of it there are people who are really good and are dedicated to their business and I respect them for that but what I see that every week there is a new place for cookies or cup cakes coming out and it’s a bit crazy you can notice that for example on ilsul6ana’s blog for instance (which I like btw)…I don’t think this will “expand to different kinds of creativeness” because I can’t see how this is creativeness…we have wonderful creative people in Kuwait but what is sad is no one is doing them justice neither the government nor private sector are interested in them and no one gave them the opportunity to showcase their creativeness… you know why no one knows them? because they don’t have the advantage of an advertised exhibition which all of Kuwait knew of…Last I hope you were not talking about me when you mentioned that the society makes fun of people who want to accomplish anything new because I was not implying that I my previous post ..Thank you

Why don’t you see it in a positive way and support those girls & guys ! Some of them r really talented and doing their best to design or bake and earn money to get their own store ! It’s a very good idea instead of doing NOTHING.
    Thank you

Hala- don’t get me wrong, I really like to support talented and creative people, but I feel that we now have a lot of cupcake and cookie “home” shops. I think it’s not even creative anymore.

    Thanks
