I went to Marble Slab during the weekend; I got sweet cream flavor with strawberry toppings, it sucks big time. I noticed Mark wrote about it last year.
I was checking out the food court at the Avenues with a friend when I saw Cold Stone Creamery. According to my friend Bu 7sain, Cold Stone is big time in the States. The same concept of Marble Slab, it’s well known for its ice cream customization: you pick the flavor of your ice cream that gets flattened on a slab, then you choose from a large variety of toppings, as much as you want, to crunch within the ice cream (marshmallows, twix, gummy bears, snickers, etc..) as well the option to sprinkle some nuts and hot chocolate sauce on top.
On the other hand, they offer cakes and coffee.

OZM – I recommend you ask to taste a couple of flavors before picking one.. then you’ll get a mixed scoop (in your belly) for free :P.. i’ll go with u!

MARBLE SLAB IS THE BEST… No Comparism to Cold stone.. First Mrable slab icecream is fresh and tastey.. Cold stone ice cream is sticky not fresh…I love The vanilla flavor there!

Oh beleive me Farah.. wait until u see my next post about ice cream (tomorrow) and then tell me I dont have taste.
btw.. I don’t get it, Cold Stone didn’t open yet, how on earth is their ice cream “sticky and not fresh” ? You should keep ur competitors closer than your friends :P
And to be fair.. why don’t you propose the best flavor + topping at Marble Slab and I will gladly give it a second shot and will be honest with my next evaluation..

then i trust you.. and i trust that you compared Cold Stone in Dubai with Marble Slab in Dubai ;) .. I will buy you ice cream from Cold Stone – as soon as they open.. Just tell them “Buzberry” and get ur ice cream .. then we’ll see which one is better … at least in Kuwait :P

I preffer Marble Slab because their ice creams are creamy and tasty, not like Cold Stone. Its just taste like watery. Just the interior decoration is good at Cold Stone.

Do you know who is the owner for Cold Stone in Kuwait?
The location looks so bad because, they are targeting people only from Food Court, ie middle class and below. Their store looks more attractive than Marble Slab, but I believe, ice cream stores in Food Courts are not the right location.
