If you are a regular visitor to London and looking for a new hotel to stay in, then you might want to visit Hotel Rafayel. Apart from having luxury and convenient rooms, Hotel Rafayel is considered among the first environmentally-conscious hotels in the world. It was developed with the intention of creating an environmentally sustainable 5 star hotel. The hotel developers had partnered with Philips to install energy efficient lightning and air-conditioning systems. The LED lighting schemes that Philips had installed are said to be up to 80% more efficient than the normal halogen bulbs. In addition to that, the leather used in the furniture is recycled as well as the doors which are made of synthetic wood(composed of 90% sustainable veneered mahogany.) They also had eliminated the use of plastics. Below are some photos of the hotels interior.
Hotel Rafayel is located at 34 Lombard Road, Battersea, on the south bank of the River Thames.
Harrods - 3 km
Victoria Station - 3.4 km
Chelsea Football Club - 4 km
Big Ben and Houses of Parliament – 4.7 km
Finally, It’s worth noting that the hotel is developed by Iqbal Latif who is a Pakistani entrepreneur that used to work and live in Kuwait! He believes that whatever he has now is from Kuwait.
